“There is a universal truth we all have to face, whether we want to or not, everything eventually ends. As much as I’ve looked forward to this day, I’ve always disliked endings. Last day of summer, the final chapter of a great book, parting ways with a close friend. But endings are inevitable. Leaves fall. You close the book. You say goodbye. Today is one of those days for us. Today we say goodbye to everything that was familiar, everything that was comfortable. We’re moving on. But just because we’re leaving, and that hurts, there’s some people who are so much a part of us, they’ll be with us no matter what. They are our solid ground. Our North Star. And the small clear voices in our hearts that will be with us, always.”

Alexis’ Graduation Speech, Castle (via quote-book)

“Loneliness adds beauty to life. It puts a special burn on sunsets and makes night air smell better.”

FICTION

With my back turned from him,
I feel the drops of cold sweat forming on my forehead
on the very part he gently kissed two days ago
I wish I knew then where that kiss would lead
To this moment.. in this room

The air around us is thickened with tension
And the questions we can’t dare to ask
Hang heavier than the window’s scarlet drapes
I can’t move. He can’t Either.
Confusion tied us tighly in a knot

It used to be fun being bound together like this
Not knowing what comes next
Not looking ahead to see the consequences
Not minding how the eyes of the world would see us
Not thinking.. just free falling

Gray areas were our playgrounds
But in a few moments we’ll watch its gates
Either
smash hard right into our faces
or open widely like warm longing embraces

I can see his vague reflection
from the glass cover of this old wooden cabinet standing infront of me
I can barely see his eyes
(Dark brown, deep, almond-shaped)
I want to see his eyes..to show me the hope I’m looking for

What are you thinking?
Damn, I don’t even have a sweet nickname for you!
How are you feeling?
Do you feel your breath suspended until either of us say a word?
Do you feel that too?
The weight of the finality that’s coming down

I turn to him
Finally
Look right at him:
He’s not just a boy I can forget after some bottles of wine
It’s him and that pronoun, when stringed to the entirety of his being, will always be more than enough

I see his face
His eyes down and heavy
Filled with so much brokeness
Sharp pain cut through as I see him that way
His body steady, almost as frozen as my heart

He looks up with the expression of sheer hurt
————kapoy man humanon uy, hahaha——-
